FMB SKETCH AND ITS DETAILS

 



Field Measurement Book (FMB) sketch is a compilation of map data that is stored in volumes by the Government at the respective Tahsildar office.

 In FMB's, the individual survey number sketches are maintained at a scale of 1:1000 or 1:2000.

It is a record of measurements that is measured as per the scale – 1:1000 or 1:2000 and gives the exact dimensions of the land.

FMB sketch is essential for the surveyor to record the measurements of a specific area and to make a map of the site.

FMB denotes the precise dimensions of the land. Hence, in a property purchase transaction, FMB sketch is used to verify the land measurements and boundaries of the property.

How can I get full FMB sketch online in Tamil Nadu?

You must make a request to the concerned Tahsildar office in order to receive an FMB drawing for a property. You cannot get an FMB sketch online Chennai as there is no process yet. A request for a survey of the property may be made in the event that the FMB drawing is out-of-date or unavailable.

 

How do you do corrections in FMB?

CORRECTION FOR WRONG FMB

1.      file an application to the tashildar requesting to set right the FMB.

2.      the revenue authorities will your land survey, measure and amend the FMB accordingly.

3.      if they dont respond file a petition in the court for directing the tashildar to correct the FMB after verifying its correctsness.
