HOW TO CALCULATE THE NUMBER OF BRICKS REQUIRED FOR 1 METER CUBE

To calculate the number of bricks needed for one cubic meter of brickwork, you need to know the volume of a single brick and then divide the volume of one cubic meter by that value. Typically, a standard brick with mortar occupies a volume of 0.002 cubic meters, so you'd need approximately 500 bricks per cubic meter

Here's a breakdown of the calculation:

1.     Standard Brick Size (with mortar):

A common brick size with mortar is 20cm x 10cm x 10cm (0.2m x 0.1m x 0.1m),

according to some construction resources.

2.     Volume of one brick with mortar:

Multiply the dimensions: 0.2m * 0.1m * 0.1m = 0.002 cubic meters.

3.     Number of bricks per cubic meter: Divide 1 (cubic meter) by the volume of one brick:

 1 / 0.002 = 500 bricks.

Therefore, approximately 500 bricks are required for one cubic meter of brickwork.
