OBJECTIVES OF MASTER PLANNING -TS

A master plan is a comprehensive, long-term strategic blueprint that guides the physical, social, and economic development of a city, region, or specific site. Its primary objective is to manage growth efficiently, balance competing land uses, and build future-ready infrastructure while protecting public health and the environment.

Specific objectives include:
  • Managing Growth & Preventing Urban Sprawl: Directing orderly development to prevent chaotic construction and unstructured expansion.
  • Zoning & Land Use Optimization: Allocating distinct areas for residential, commercial, industrial, and recreational use to minimize conflicts.
  • Infrastructure & Connectivity: Synchronizing the development of roads, utility networks, public transit, and waste management systems.
  • Economic Development & Investment: Fostering private sector interest by providing long-term predictability and laying a foundation for future prosperity.
  • Sustainability & Preservation: Protecting ecologically sensitive zones, integrating green spaces, and preserving historical heritage.
  • Efficient Public Spending: Ensuring that municipal and government funds are spent intelligently on public welfare and community improvements.
